Hotels classified (3 to 5) stars in the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase of 8.5% in guest numbers up to the end of July 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 1,309,755 million guests, compared to 1,206,630 million guests during the same period last year, according to Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Data issued by (NCSI) indicated that total hotel revenues rose by 17.4% to reach approximately OMR 155.615 million by the end of July 2025, compared to around OMR 132.553 million during the same period in 2024.
Occupancy rates for this hotel category also recorded a notable increase, up by 13.3% to reach 52.9% by the end of July 2025, compared to 46.7% during the same period in 2024.
In terms of guest distribution by nationality till the end of July 2025, Guests from Oceania recorded the highest growth rate, recording an increase of 57.3%, reaching 27,050 thousand guests. Followed by African nationalities, which grew by 35.8%, totaling 8,792 guests.
Guest numbers from the Americas increased by 24.3% to reach 43,413 thousand guests, while European guests grew by 19.9%, totaling 370,590.
Guests from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries rose by 7.8% to reach 110,501 thousand, while Omani guests increased by 5.2% to reach 468,854 thousand by the end of July 2025.Asian nationalities also recorded growth of 3.5%, with 187,141 guests.
Conversely, statistics showed a decline in guests from other Arab nationalities by 3.2%, totaling 56,450 thousand guests.
