Inflation rate rises by 0.9% in April 2025
The inflation rate in the Sultanate of Oman rose by 0.9% in April 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, with the base year 2018, according to data from the Consumer Price Index (CPI) issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).According to the data, there was an increase in prices for miscellaneous goods and services groups by 7.0%, followed by the health group by 3.2%, and the transportation group by 3.1%. The restaurants and hotels group by 1.5%, clothing and footwear group by 0.6%, recreation and culture group by 0.3%, and education group by 0.1%.Meanwhile, the food and non-alcoholic beverages group fell by 0.3%, and furnishing, household equipment, and routine household maintenance group by 0.1%.
