Sultanate's inflation rate rises by 0.2% in March 2024
The inflation rate in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 0.2% in March 2024 compared to the same month in 2023 for the base year 2018, according to data on consumer price index numbers in the Sultanate of Oman issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI.The data indicated an increase in the prices of food, non-alcoholic beverages groups by 3.4%, miscellaneous goods and services by 2.9%, culture, and entertainment by 0.4%, tobacco by 2.4%, and the clothing and footwear group by 0.1%.On the other hand, the prices of the transportation groups decreased by 4.6%, the restaurants and hotels group by 0.1%, furniture, fixtures and household equipment, and regular home maintenance by 0.3%, communications by 0.3%, and education by 0.4%, while the prices of the remaining groups remained stable.In the food and non-alcoholic beverages group, the prices of fruits increased by 0.7%, milk, cheese, and eggs by 3.9%, sugar, jam, honey, and sweets by 1.7%, oils and fats by 2%, brea...
