The revenues of 3 to 5-star hotels in the Sultanate of Oman grew by 18.5% to reach OMR 128.426 million by the end of May 2025, compared to OMR 108.379 million in the same period in 2024, according to statistics data issued by The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The increase is attributed to an 8.6% rise in the total number of guests, reaching 990,240 guests, by end of May 2025, up from 911,830 guests at the same period in 2024.
The hotel occupancy rates also improved to 58.3% by the end of May 2025, up from 50.8% in May 2024, recording an increase of 14.9%.
By nationality, guests from Oceania recorded the highest growth at 57.0%, reaching 21,100 guests, followed by African nationals at 47.5%, recording 6,866 guests, while guests from the Americas increased by 20.5% reaching 34,563 guests, and Europeans guests increased by 20.1%, reaching 344,159 guests.
Guests from GCC countries increased by 13% to 65,998 guests, Asians by 3.8% to 138,319 guests, and the Omani nationals' guests increased by 1.1% reaching 308,940 guests till the end of May 2025. However, guests from other Arab countries declined by 3.1% , recording 39,218 guests.
