The Sultanate of Oman's total oil exports recorded a drop of 3.4% reaching 100,032.4 thousand barrels by the end of April 2025, compared to 103,549.1 thousand barrels during the same period in 2024, according to the data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
This decline is accompanied by a decrease in the average oil price, which dropped by 5.2% to USD 75.9 per barrel until the end of April 2025, down from USD 80.0 per barrel a year earlier.
Average daily oil production also saw a slight decrease of 1%, standing at 986,700 barrels per day, compared to 997,100 barrels per day in 2024. Overall oil production declined by 1.9%, totaling 118,402.4 thousand barrels by the end of April 2025, compared to 120,651.2 thousand barrels during the same period last year.
On a more positive note, natural gas production (including imports and local production) recorded a modest increase of 0.5%, reaching 17,945.2 MNCM until the end of April 2025, compared to 17,847.6 MNCM during the same period in 2024.
This growth is primarily attributed to a 10.8% rise in associated gas production. However, non-associated and imported gas saw a decline of 2.1%.
Further, natural gas consumption rose by 1.2% in power generation plants, and consumption in industries Areas rose by 2.3%. Meanwhile, natural gas consumption in oil fields rose by 13.6%, While industrial projects fall by 4.7%. until the end of April 2025.
