Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that the Sultanate of Oman's total production of electricity till the end of February 2025 increased by 4.3%, reaching 5,682.1 GWh, compared to 5,446.2 GWh in the same period of 2024.
Statistics showed that the governorates of Al Batinah North and South and Adh Dhahirah recorded total electricity production reaching 3,137.9 GWh, and the governorates of Al Sharqiyah North and South recorded electricity production reaching 1,256.0 GWh till the end of February 2025.
The electricity production in the Governorate of Dhofar rose by 8.5% reaching 786.6 GWh and in the Governorate of Muscat, reaching 35.5 GWh and in the Governorate of Al Wusta, it decreased by 17.2%, reaching 14.4 GWh.
Statistics also showed that the Sultanate of Oman's net electricity production until the end of February 2025 rose by 5.1% to reach 5,522.8 GWh. The net production in the Governorate of Al Batinah North and South and Adh Dhahirah fell by 5.1%, reaching 3,044.4 GWh, and those of Al Dakhliyah reached 303.6 GWh.
In the governorates of Al Sharqiyah North and South, the electricity production decreased by 3.2%, reaching 1,226.6 GWh, and those in the Governorate of Muscat reached 35.3 GWh. In the Governorate of Dhofar, it increased by 9.2%, reaching 752.1 GWh till the end of February 2025. The statistics showed that the net electricity production in the Governorate of Al Wusta decreased by 17.4%, recording 14.1 GWh.
In terms of water production, the statistics showed that the total quantity of water produced in the Sultanate of Oman fell by 2.5% to reach 79,157.1 cubic meters by the end of February 2025.
