The value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman fell by 8.3% to RO 362.3 million till the end of February 2025, compared to RO 394.9. million in the same period of 2024, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to preliminary statistics issued by NCSI, fees collected of all legal action amounted to RO 12.3 million till the end of February 2025, an increase of 5.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
The traded value of sales contracts decreased by 18.3%, reaching OMR 160.3 million by the end of February 2025, down from OMR 196.2 million in the same period in 2024, and the number of sale contracts fell by 3.2% to 11,177, compared to 11,543 in the same period of 2024.
On the other hand, the traded value of mortgage contracts rose by 1.8% till the end of February 2025 to RO 200.1 million compared to RO 196.5 million during the same period of 2024. Meanwhile, the number of mortgage contracts rose by 14.3% to 3,416 contracts from 2,989 contracts in the same period of 2024.
The traded value of barter contracts fell by 14.9% to RO 1.9 million till the end of February 2025 compared to RO 2.2 million in the same period of 2024. The number of barter contracts fell by 11% to reach 266 contracts till the end of February 2025 compared to 299 contracts in February 2024.
The number of properties issued rose by 0.8%, reaching 39,704 titles by the end of February 2025, compared to 39,378 titles issued by the end of February 2024.
