The revenues of 3-5-star hotels in Oman stood at RO 52,388 million at the end of February 2024, up by 18% compared to the same period in 2023.
Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) show that the total number of hotel guests rose by 18.2% to 433,856 by the end of February 2024, compared to 366,969 during the corresponding period in 2023. Meanwhile, hotel occupancy rate registered a growth of 11.2%.
According to the NCSI report, among the nationalities, Europeans topped the number of guests in hotels, with their numbers reaching 153,422. As many as 141,335 were Omanis (an increase of 5.7%), and 54,562 were Asian guests citizens (up by 29.5%). The number of guests from GCC countries increased by 13.6% to 25,607, the number of American guests reached 14,829, and those from African countries rose by 9.7% to reach 2,029. Meanwhile, the number of guests from Oceanian countries fell by 27.5% to 6,347.
