The Sultanate of Oman's total quantity of Bee honey production by the end of 2022 was about 533,701 thousand kilograms, compared to 947,841 thousand kilograms by the end of 2021, according to the statistical yearbook, issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information NCSI
The governorates of North and South Al Sharqiyah topped the quantities of production with 147,088 thousand kilograms, followed by the governorates of North and South Al Batinah with 131, 269 thousand kilograms, then the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah,with 126,470 thousand kilograms. These governorates accounted for 75.8 % of the total honey production of the Sultanate of Oman.
The Bee honey also gains care through scientific research and marketing process,as the number of bee units in productive farms, research stations, agricultural development centres and arboretums, reached to 6 units, in addition to two units of bee research stations.
