The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) participates in the fifteenth session of the Statistical Commission organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), which is part of the promotion of cooperation among Arab States in the development of statistical systems and capabilities in the region, from 16 to 17 November 2022 in Beirut.

The agenda for the session includes a range of topics, including discussion of progress in the implementation of statistical activities for the fourteenth session of the Commission, technical cooperation activities and the activities of the Statistical Commission's advisory committees. The Committee was briefed on efforts to monitor progress in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, develop the use of similar purchasing power in economic assessments, and support statistical work with geospatial information.

A joint session with the ESCWA Committee on Technology for "Developing data management using modern technologies" will be held during the session.
