The Ministry of Housing allotted a total of 19,992 residential properties across the country till the end of September 2019, compared to 25,953 plots in the same period of 2018, which is a decrease of 23%, according to statistics released by the NCSI.
The governorate of Ad-Dakhliyah was allotted 5,808 residential plots till the end of September 2019, which is the highest among governorates. This was followed by Muscat with about 2,812 properties, Ash-Sharqiyah North with 2,499, Al-Batinah South with 2,055, Ash-Sharqiyah South with 1,993, and Al Buraymi with 1,277 properties allotted till the end of September 2019.
The governorates of Al-Batinah North (except for the Wilayat of Sohar), Musandam, Adh-Dhahirah, and Al-Wusta were allotted (1,133), (979), (621), and 449 residential properties, respectively. Dhofar was allotted 366 properties, which is the lowest among governorates.
