As a part of its extensive efforts to highlight its services, data, indexes and projects, the National Center for Statistics and Information ( NCSI) always keens to participate in various forums and events, including its participation in Salalah Tourism Festival 2019, through its permanent pavilion within the municipal entertainment square at the Governorate of Salalah, which is being organized under the slogan of (The Automation of Statistical work ).
Commenting on the participation of NCSI in Salalah Tourism Festival 2019, Nadir Bin Abdul Qadir Bin Omar Al-Zubaidi, one of the visitors to the pavilion of NCSI at the municipal entertainment square in Salalah said: " The supervisors of NCSI pavilion have briefed us on different projects that carried out by The National Center for Statistics and Information ,such as the Electronic Census of Population, Housing and Enterprises 2020, which will contribute to provide accurate data on the population of the Sultanate , in order to enhance the development policies ,visions and strategies plans for several sectors in the country.
"We have acquainted with the Unified Addressing system Project that expected to contribute in providing an attractive and contemporary investment environment as a result of the variability of the navigation information." Al Zubaidi added
Salem Bin Saleh Ghadeer Al-Meshaikhi, another visitor to the NCSI pavilion ,said: "During my visit to this exhibition , I learned about the National Geographic Information Architecture (GIS),and the website of the NCSI , which is rich of the important data and statistic information ,in addition to the advantage of downloading the released issues and publications of the centre"
Said Bin Mohammed Al-Ahassani, from the Governorate of Muscat, says : "As a visitor to Salalah Tourism Festival, I benefited from the smart applications ,which are parts of MAZEED application, whereas MAZEED includes the statistical indexes application, that contains of 24 economic and social indexes of the Sultanate, which are being updated monthly. MAZEED also includes a digital map, and spatial statistical information, that contains a set of functions and technical tools that have been designed to help in linking the statistical data with geo-spatial information.
Al-AHassani also expressed his admire with (Tour In Oman Application) , which provides 31 types of government services, private services, tourist places and monuments in all governorates of the Sultanate. It also easies access to the places of services through using data navigation methods.
Commenting BANKI application , Adnan Bin Mohammed Ahmed Safrar, one of the visitors to NCSI pavilion in Salalah , said : " I have been briefed on BANKI application , it looks that , it is an important app , that is being used continuously, whereas it provides the users by tools to search for the nearest branches of banks ,its locations ,its services such as money transferring, loans, and the locations of ATM and deposit machines as well.
I was also impressed and admired with (Waqoudi application), which helps the users searching for the nearest fuel stations, Automotive services centers etc. Al-AHassani added .
Awad Bin Said Bin Rabea Obaidoun one of the visitors of NCSI pavilion in Salalah also , said: " In fact I benefited from my visit to this exhibition , where I discovered a wide range of services that are being provided by NCSI , which include several statistical data, indexes , publications of economical &social statistics , programs and projects, where the interactive screens in the pavilion are highlighting these services as well .
The businessman, Salem Bin Ali Mustahail Al-Jabri commended that: The data provided by the National Center for Statistics and Information, specially through the portal of MANAFIZ ,is playing significant role in supporting the entrepreneurs in their process making successful economic and commercial decisions.
"I visit the pavilion of NCSI in Salalah every year to get acquainted with the latest projects, information, and services of The National Centre for Statistics and Information, where I keen not to miss the acquisition of many issues, books and indexes issued by NCSI . Al-Jabri added.
Khaled Bin Abdul Rahman Al Ejaili , among the visitors of NCSI pavilion in Salalah ,has spoken about the range knowledge publications provided by the centre . Khaled advises the people to visit the same pavilion, where he believes that it is rich of data and information that meet the daily needs of the people each in his/her concern field. He also express his admire with the displayed promotional posters at NCSI pavilion in Salalah.
