​The Centre in coordination with the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance, has organised an awareness programme on first aid on April 10.

The role of the ambulance unit of the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance was explained in detail at the event. An awareness programme was also conducted among participants on how to contact the department at times of emergencies for availing ambulance service. Besides, experts explained about dealing with minor injuries, including wounds and fractures, and how to perform cardiac resuscitation to sustain brain function until further measures are taken at the hospital to restore blood circulation and respiration to save life of a patient suffering from heart attack.

During the programme, practical training was also given to participants on how to perform cardiac resuscitation and deal with minor injuries. A discussion forum was also conducted at the event wherein participants got replies to their queries.
