The total number of guests of the 3 – 5 star hotels reached 414 thousand and 30 persons at the end of last April compared to 427 thousand and 781 guests recorded during the same period of 2014 with a decline rate of 3.2%. The statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) about the main indicators of the 3 – 5 star hotels indicated that the total revenues of such hotels till the end of April logged a 1.2% decrease compared to the total revenues recorded till the end of April 2014 by reaching 73 million and 887 thousand Omani Riyals compared to 74 million and 758 thousand Omani Riyals recorded during the same period of 2014. On the other hand, the occupancy rate recorded a 6.8% decrease by reaching 65.5% compared to 70.3% logged during the same period of 2014. The statistics showed that the Europeans topped the list of the hotels' guests. They were followed by the Omani guests; the Asian guests and the gulf guests respectively.
