Oman’s production of refineries, petrochemicals falls 9% by end of Jan 2024
The Sultanate of Oman's production of refineries and petrochemicals recorded a decrease of 9% by the end of January 2024 compared to the corresponding period in 2023, according to preliminary statistics released by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).The production of regular gasoline (M-91) fell by 17.9% by the end of January 2024, while its sales showed an increase of 3.5%. Meanwhile, paraxylene and benzene products recorded an increase, with a growth rate of 56.5% and 17.6%, respectively.The statistics indicate that the production of regular gasoline (M-91) reached 1,184,200 barrels by the end of January 2024, with sales amounting to 1,175,900 barrels. The production of premium gasoline (M-95) rose by 12.7%, reaching 951,100 barrels, and its sales also increased to 993,000 barrels.The production of diesel fuel (gas oil) fell by 26.1%, reaching 2,101,700 barrels, with sales amounting to 1,137,700 barrels.
