The Sultanate of Oman's total refineries output recorded a growth of 1.3% by the end of May 2025, while the production of motor fuels in May 2025 rose by 10.7% compared to the previous month, according to preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).The statistics show that, the production of Regular Motor Fuel (91) rose by 10.7%, reaching 7.393 million barrels by the end of May 2025, compared to 6,677.3 million barrels in the same period of 2024.  The total electricity generation in the Sultanate of Oman recorded a notable increase of 11% by the end of April 2025, reaching 13,479.8 GWh, compared to 12,142.3 GWh during the same period in 2024, according to preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).Muscat Governorate recorded the highest growth rate in electricity generation at 195.9%, reaching 93.9 GWh, while the Governorates of North and South Al -Sharqiyah saw a 2.8% increase of electricity generation, reaching 2,659.6 GWh, and the generation in Musandam Governorate rose by 16.6% to 128.2 GWh.Meanwhile, the total electricity generation in the North and South Al Batinah and Al-Dhahirah Governorates reached about 7,970.9 GWh, recording an increase of 5.7%, compared to the same period last year.
