NCSI Oman

The National Center of Statistics and Information is pleased to offer you the social and economic indicators with the use of smart applications, within the framework of the diversification and strengthening of dissemination of statistical and Information of the center. In addition to expand the database and information and to facilitate their dissemination to decision-makers, researchers and scholars.

NCSI Geo

NCSI Geo application contains a set of functions and technical tools that are designed to help in linking the statistical data information with the geo-spatial information by geographical location in order to create a geographical and spatial dimension of the information, so that the information or statistical data will have a geographical representation or interactive representation that enables the user to know and display the statistical data and information through the interactive map at the same time. The NCSI Geo application allows comparison operations such as identification of geographical distribution and population concentration as well as the number of establishments at different administrative levels between the Sultanate's governorate and willayat.

Query

This feature allows the user to search for indicators and general information about the populated localities or to make a detailed inquiry by specifying the required spatial space or location by drawing the area of interest on the map directly. The information available is total population, total of housing units, total of households and other indicators.

Air Distance Measurement

This tool will measure the air distance from one point to another, allowing the user to know the distance from a particular building to the nearest service center or landmark such as school, police station, hospital or other services available on the application, thus making a subjective estimate of the initial distance. A drawn line will show for the specified path.

Feedback and contributed information

It is one of the most important services provided by the application to open a window for the interaction users directly with the National Centre for Statistics and Information so that the users can contribute to the addition of landmark or information and send to the Centre to enrich the application with additional information and therefore the Centre will updates the geographical database reviewed and linked to the application after internal quality control operations with the available sources.
