​A recent statistics in Oman hotels guests and revenues reveals that the total number of the guests of 3 – 5 star hotels has reached to 132,759 guests as the end of January 2018, realizing an increase of 11.6 percent, compared to the total number of guests such hotels for the same period in 2017, which was 118,953.

Subsequently, the total of revenues hotels has reached OMR 19,758 realizing an increase of 11.4 percent, compared to the total revenues of such hotels for the same period in 2017, which was OMR 17,732.The Omani guests in January 2018 has reached 31,769 realizing a decrease of 8.3 percent, compared to their number for the same period in 2017, which was 34,643. On the other hand, the guests form the GCC in January 2018 has reached 15,886 realizing an increase of 50.7 percent compared to the same period last year, which was 10,540. In addition, a decrease is obvious in the number of guests from other Arab countries for the same period. As in January this year, the number of Arab guests has reached 5,422 compared to 6,753 for the same period 2017. So a decrease of 19.7 percent has been realized.

An increase has been realized in the number of guests from Africa, Asia, Europe, USA, and Oceania, as follows:

Africa: From 1,014 in January 2018 compared to 814 at the same period last year, with an increase of 24.6 percent.

Asia: From 13,733 in January 2018 compared to 13,325, at the same period last year, with an increase of 3.1 percent.

Europe: From 54,503 in January 2018 compared to 44,678 at the same period last year, with an increase of 22 percent.
