​The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) announced that the visitors of Khareef Salalah season; during the period from 21 June till 25 July 2015, logged a 171% increase compared to the figures recorded during the same period of the last year. The statistics indicated that 150 thousand and 334 persons visited Salalah since the beginning of the Khareef Season. Salalah visitors hailing from the GCC Countries including Omanis reached 13219 persons coming through the airport on board of domestic flights. The statistics indicated that 4382 persons visited Salalah on board of international flights through the airport. In addition, 98 thousand and 188 persons came through the land port. Accordingly; the total GCC Countries' visitors reached 115 thousand and 789 persons including 89 thousand and 523 Omanis, with an increase rate of 164.6% compared to the figures recorded during the same period last year. The same statistics indicated a significant increase in the number of Khareef Salalah visitors coming from other Arab countries through doemstic and international flights or through the land port. The recorded number reached 4568 visitors during the period from 21 June till 25 July of the current year; including 1668 visitors who reached Salalah through the airport and 2900 persons who came through the land port with an increase of 102.8% compared to the figures recorded during the same period last year. The same applies to the Asian visitors who recorded a sweeping increase of 248.4% compared to their numbers logged during the same period last year. The total number of Asian visitors reached 28 thousand and 370 persons including 4655 persons who arrived through the airport; in addition to 23 thousand and 715 visitors who arrived through the land port. The total number of visitors coming from the United States of America reached 351 persons during the period from 21 June till 25 July 2015 with an increase rate of 36.6% compred to the figures recorded during the same period last year.​
