The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) won the Achievement Award of the Spatial Applications Techniques during the World Conference for Users of Geographic Information Systems held at San Diego City in the State of California, the USA during the period from 20 – 24/7/2015 AD.
This award is given to the entities that make the best usage of the geographic information systems worldwide for serving the local communities and citizens in their countries. It is also granted for the authorities and individuals who highlight the importance and power of the geographic information in building a better world for life and work. The best spatial services and applications of geographic information systems in the fields of economic development, agriculture, climate change, security, general safety, education, health, tourism, telecommunications, electricity, water, governmental facilities management; in addition to human and community services are evaluated.
