The Governorate of Musandam witnessed a 468% growth in the number of residential plots granted at the end of September this year at 1 thousand and 170 plots compared to 206 at the end of September 2016. A total of 2 thousand and 44 residential plots were granted during September this year compared to 2 thousand 380 in August this year, according to the latest statistics issued by the (NCSI).
The total number of residential plots allotted declined by 8% in September to 21 thousand and 549 at the end of September this year compared to 23 thousand and 415 residential plots allotted in September 2016. The number of residential plots allotted in the Governorate of Al-Buraymi grew 175% to 715 at the end of September this year compared to 260 at the end of September 2016, while the number of residential plots allotted in the Governorate of Muscat grew by 40.4% to 2 thousand and 295 at the end of September this year compared to one thousand and 635 during the same period last year. In the Governorate of Al-Wusta the number of residential plots allotted at the end of September 2017 grew by 37.7% to 909 compared to 660 at the end of September last year, the NCSI data showed. In the Governorate of Al-Batinah South there was a 37% growth in the number of residential plots allotted to 5 thousand and 429 at the end of September this year compared to 3 thousand and 963 during the same period last year. The number of residential plots allotted in the Governorate of Ad-Dakhliyah grew 21.7% to 5 thousand 281 at the end of September this year from 4 thousand and 340 at the end of September 2016. In September, the Governorate of Ad-Dakhliyah was allotted the largest number of residential plots at 796 or 38.9% of the total number of plots allotted during the month.
In the Governorate of Dhofar there was a 87.8% decline in the number of residential plots allotted to 123 at the end of September 2017 compared to 978 during the same period last year, while in the Governorate of Adh-Dhahirah the number of residential plots allotted at the end of September this year declined by 85.8% to 515 from 3 thousand and 620 at the end of September 2016. In the Governorate of Al-Batinah North (not including the Wilayat of Sohar) there was an 80.8% decline in the number of residential plots allotted at the end of September this year to 538 from 2 thousand and 803 during the period under review.The Governorate of Ash-Sharqiyah South witnessed an 8.4% decline in the number of residential plots allotted to 1 thousand and 510 at the end of September 2017 from 1 thousand and 649 at the end of September last year. In the Governorate of Ash-Sharqiyah North, the number of residential plots allotted declined 7.2% to 3 thousand and 064 from 3 thousand and 301, according to the NCSI data.
