The total quantity of crude oil exported in July stood at 25 million 440 thousand and 800 barrels, compared to June when it was 24 million 144 thousand and 500 barrels and the total exports registered a 9.9% decline from 190 million 715 thousand and 500 barrels till the end of July in 2016 to 171 million and 898 thousand and 900 barrels until July end this year, according to the figures released by the Center.
The Sultanate's total crude oil and condensates production in July stood at 29 million and 977 thousand barrels, a daily average by 967 thousand barrels. The average price of oil declined 4.3% in July this year compared to the previous month. Crude exports to Taiwan meanwhile showed a 20.3% growth from 11 million 963 thousand and 400 barrels in 2016 to 14 million 385 thousand and 600 barrels until end of July this year. Crude oil exported to the United States of America decline 80.9% from 9 million 960 thousand and 900 barrels at the end of July last year to 1 million 900 thousand and 200 barrels at the end of July 2017. The export to India declined 52.4% to 1 million 902 thousand and 800 barrels at the end of July this year from 3 million 997 thousand and 100 barrels during the same period last year. Crude export to Japan declined by 23.7% to 5 million 979 thousand and 500 barrels until July end this year from 7 million 832 thousand and 600 barrels during the comparable period of 2016. While exports to Singapore declined 100% this year, crude exports to some other countries registered a 119% growth to 8 million 163 thousand and 900 barrels during the period under review, the NCSI data showed.
The total gas output, which includes imports, declined 0.4% to 23,920 MNCM at the end of July this year compared to 24,025 MNCM during the same period last year. However, compared to June this year when it was 3,421MNCM, the output increased to 3,514 MNCM, according to the data. While 2% or 4,805 MNCM was used for power generation, 13,578 MNCM was used in the industrial areas. The utilization of gas by oil fields showed a decline of 4.2% to 5,130MNCM compared to 5,357MNCM last year, the data showed.
