The National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Information, carried out a survey of Omanis’ opinion on “content of local media”, during the period from 20 – 31 March 2022.
The survey sought Omanis’ feedback about the media content provided by local audio, visual and print media institutions, and to measure the rates of listening, viewing and reading to what these institutions write, publish and broadcast.
This survey has been carried out through telephone calls to a random sample of 1,500 male and female Omanis who are +18 in all governorates. The calls were made from Tel # 24219000 of NCSI call center.
It is worth noting that all data are confidential in accordance with Article No.11 of Royal Decree No. 55/2019 which states (All individual data shall be considered confidential in accordance with the provisions of this law. The data may only be published in an aggregate form. It is prohibited to make such data available to any individual, governmental or non-governmental entity. The data may not be used for anything other than statistical purposes.
